Overview

Santiago the Dreamer in Land Among the Stars is a picture book about a boy who imagines himself into different careers — astronaut, teacher, paleontologist — while dreaming of the spotlight. This concept explored turning each dream sequence into a page-turn book experience with narration controls, plus a short educational minigame tied to each dream: naming planets, practicing math, matching dinosaur bones.

The Interactive Book

Every page keeps the same reading controls in the corner — record, narration, and settings — so a child or parent always knows how to pause, replay, or move on. Minigames sit inside the story instead of interrupting it: solve one, see three stars, keep reading.

What this demonstrates

This was an early concept, done well before narrated read-alongs and embedded minigames were standard in children's apps. The challenge was making the educational layer feel like part of the adventure.
